Biography
Maresca's figurative and animal studies investigate emotional presence rather than movement. By combining expressive abstraction with carefully observed forms, he creates subjects that feel both familiar and quietly symbolic.
Accolades
White Horizon was selected for the Contemporary Forms Showcase and praised for transforming a timeless symbol of strength into a meditative study of stillness and grace.
Detailed View
Rather than portraying motion, White Horizon captures a horse in complete stillness. Thick impasto layers, muted earth tones, and fragments of gold leaf soften the realism of the subject while preserving its quiet dignity. The painting reflects endurance expressed through calmness rather than power.
